Like the Byrds' first album, 1965's Turn! Turn! Turn! blended the group's fine harmonies and jangly 12-string Rickenbacker guitar into folk rock gold. Building on the success of Mr. Tambourine Man, it featured two Dylan covers: "The Times They Are A-Changin'" and the then-unreleased, "Lay Down Your Weary Tune." The title song came from Pete Seeger, who wrote the band later, "You know, they used to do everything but burn crosses on my lawn for being a communist. Now they come around and ask for my autograph, and I just can't tell you how much good you've done me in this town…. People like me again and I just really do appreciate that. You boys are wonderful." Other tracks included the Gene Clark originals "Set You Free This Time," "The World Turns All Around Her," and "If You're Gone," while "Satisfied Mind" was a highly successful stab at country-rock.
