This Limited Edition six-disc set of the acclaimed Emmy Award– and Golden Globe–winning program written and created by Oscar-winning writer Julian Fellowes contains all of the original and unedited UK versions of episodes from the first two seasons. The first season covers the period from 1912, just after the sinking of the Titanic, up to the start of World War I in 1914, in which much of the story line is about the matchmaking within the Crawley family. The second season picks up two years later, in 1916, during the middle of World War I, when Downton Abbey has been converted into a convalescent home for injured servicemen.
