The biscuit tin in Great Britain—the package of traditional tea biscuits or cookies—has long been an exercise in specialty packaging, with elegant or elaborate designs intended to enhance the ritual as well as the prestige of the brand. As such they represent a marriage of commerce and art in British popular culture, and are avidly collected.
