After two acclaimed seasons, George Maharis would leave the show midway through Season Three due to illness. His character, Buzz Murdoch, appears in the first dozen episodes of this four-disc, 16-episode collection, with Tod Stiles (Martin Milner) riding solo during the last four. The season kicks off with "One Tiger to a Hill," featuring David Janssen as an ex-soldier-turned-dockfighter. Buster Keaton stars as a snakebitten man named Jonah in "Journey to Nineveh." Here too is the classic "Lizard's Leg and Owlet's Wing" episode featuring Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney, and Peter Lorre. Also included in this collection are episodes including Leslie Nielsen, Rod Steiger, Vera Miles, Julie Newmar, Richard Basehart, and Harry Guardino. Yale-educated Tod Stiles (Martin Milner) and Hell's Kitchen-bred Buz Murdoch (George Maharis) prove that the journey is more important than the destination as they crisscross America in search of themselves and helping others find purpose in their lives.
