|
Charles Martin Smith directs this adventure comedy, based on a true story, about four Glaswegian students who attempt to steal back from England the Stone of Scone, the coronation stone of Scottish kings. With little money and even less experience, ardent nationalist Ian Hamilton (Charlie Cox) enlists three college friends to help him break into Westminster Abbey in the wee hours of Christmas morning and "liberate" the most powerful symbol of Scottish nationhood. The 2008 film won several film festival awards and features a brief cameo by Ian Hamilton, himself.
