|
|
Nicole Kidman earned an Academy Award nomination for her performance as a grieving parent in this 2010 film adaptation of David Lindsay-Abaire's Pulitzer Prize–winning play. Eight months after a tragic car accident claimed the life of their young son, Becca (Kidman) and Howie (Aaron Eckhart) are trying to cope with their loss. Unable to meet each other's needs, Becca indulges in an uneasy relationship with the teenager (Miles Teller) who accidentally ran over their child, and Howie experiences an emotional connection with a member of their grief counseling group (Sandra Oh), as Howie and Becca try, however awkwardly, to move forward.
