|
|
At the commission of England's King Charles II, the resourceful Captain Bart (Ken Scott) infiltrates a pirate crew in order to capture their notorious leader, Henry Morgan (Robert Stephens). The wily Morgan quickly suspects Bart, and the two engage in a fight to the death but are knocked unconscious in the process. When they awake, they find themselves in custody and are brought before the governor of Tortuga, who plans to hang them both as pirates. A vivacious pickpocket (Letícia Román), also imprisoned in Tortuga, provides a romantic subplot, and former decathlon champion Rafer Johnson makes his film debut as a crew member in this 1961 adventure flick.
