The animals on Jones' farm overthrow their usurious master, assigning their own labor according to ability and running the farm collectively. But as is the danger of all revolutions, those with power seek to increase it; the pigs, who organize the labor, become as corrupt and manipulative as their old master had been. This centennial edition reproduces the original cover, and includes a foreword by Ann Patchett.
