Description
|
|
|
|
Based on Oscar Wilde's comedy Lady Windermere's Fan, this 2004 film follows Mrs. Erlynne (Helen Hunt), the once-notorious New York seductress, in the latter years of her career. She seems to have set her sights on newlywed Mr. Windermere (Mark Umbers), setting off a storm of gossip that Mrs. Windermere (Scarlett Johansson) remains oblivious to, until she finds her husband has been writing checks to the lady. Tom Wilkinson also stars as an English lord who takes a fancy to Mrs. Erlynne. Set in the 1930s, the film was shot on Italy's Amalfi Coast.
