Kevin Spacey earned a Golden Globe nomination for his chameleon-like portrayal of teen idol Bobby Darin, in this 2004 film, which Spacey also directs. The film chronicles Darin's rags-to-riches life, as he worked his way from shady nightclubs to his dream venue, The Copacabana. Spacey convincingly sings and performs such hits as "Mack the Knife," "Splish Splash," "Dream Lover," and "Beyond the Sea" from the movie's Grammy-nominated soundtrack. Kate Bosworth, as Sandra Dee, the love of Darin's life, heads an outstanding cast that also includes Bob Hoskins, John Goodman, Brenda Blethyn, and Greta Scacchi.
