Alfred Hitchcock hired no less than Raymond Chandler to adapt novelist Patricia Highsmith's twisted tale of two strangers on a train who agree to swap murders. Though the resulting 1951 film garnered only one Oscar nod—for Robert Burks' black and white cinematography—it has endured as one of Hitchcock's all-time best. This "double feature" DVD contains both the American and British versions, distinguished by different endings and, in the British version, a more flamboyant Bruno (Robert Walker) and greater homoerotic perspective to his relationship with Guy (Farley Granger).
