|
This two-sided DVD contains the two original movies that spawned the hit TV show of the 1960s. The saga begins with Flipper (1963), as 12-year-old Sandy (Luke Halpin) rescues a wounded dolphin in the waters off the Florida Keys and nurses it back to health. The boy conspires to keep the dolphin, against the wishes of his fisherman father (Chuck Connors), who considers the creature "an enemy" in competition for fish stocks depleted by "red tides." Halpin returns in Flipper's New Adventure, released the following year. After learning that Flipper is going to be sold to the Miami Seaquarium, he sails away from home with his finned friend, only to find himself entangled with kidnappers on a remote isle.
