Description
|
|
|
|
Christopher Nolan scraps the four previous Batman films and retells the story of the Dark Knight from the beginning in this 2006 Oscar nominee (Cinematography). In the wake of his parents' murder, disillusioned industrial heir Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) leaves Gotham to study with ninja master Ducard (Liam Neeson) and join the League of Shadows. Instead, he returns to Gotham and unveils his alter ego: Batman, a masked crusader who uses his strength, intellect, and an array of high-tech weaponry to fight the sinister forces that threaten the city. He is aided by family butler Alfred (Michael Caine), police officer Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman), and a gadgets expert played by Morgan Freeman.
