This 2008 fim is inspired by the true story of Rita Atria (Veronica D'Agnostino), the daughter of a Cosa Nostra boss in Sicily, who, as a young girl, witnesses the murder of her father by a rival gang. Her brother warns her to be silent, but when he too is gunned down, Anita, now a 17-year-old, breaks the code of silence to collaborate with police investigators and a crusading anti-Mafia judge (Gérard Jugnot) to bring her family's murderers to justice—putting herself, and anyone willing to help her, in grave danger. Anita's landmark case marked a major turning point in Italy's war against the Mafia. In Italian with English subtitles.
