Description

|
|
On a countryside highway in Spain, a tragic accident kills a driver, his wife, and child. On the same highway, porn video salesman João (Sergi López) meets Berta (Carmen Maura), a stranded rich housewife who is desperately fleeing her family and trying to get to Lisbon. What seems like a casual drive turns into a frenetic car chase when Berta reveals to João that her husband is party to a conspiracy involving her father's company and the driver from the accident at the beginning of the film. Maura was nominated for a Goya Award (Spanish "Oscar"), and López won best actor honors at the Málaga Film Festival. The 1999 film is in Spanish with English subtitles.
