Description
|

|
|
When dashing young millionaire Rahul Seth (Rahul Khanna) loses his white pop-star girlfriend (Jessica Paré) in a freak accident, his mother and grandmother pressure him to marry a nice Indian girl before his sister can marry. Rahul enlists the services of professional escort Sue Singh (Lisa Ray) to pose as his fiancée. The dark-skinned Sue, who Rahul believes is Hispanic, looks convincingly Indian enough to fool his family, but as the charade plays out, Rahul finds his business agreement morphing into an intense romantic relationship. This gentle spoof of Bollywood film clichés, directed by renowned filmmaker Deepa Mehta, won several film festival awards when released in 2002.
