Description
|

|
|
Andy Garcia stars in this 2004 film about the painter Amedeo Modigliani, an Italian Jew, who falls in love with Jeanne, a beautiful Catholic girl. The couple has an illegitimate child, and Jeanne's bigoted parents send the baby to a convent to be raised by nuns. A distraught Modigliani, in need of money to rescue and raise his child, enters Paris's annual art competition, despite his belief that competitions are beneath true artists like himself. When his dearest friend and rival, Pablo Picasso, also enters the competition, this showdown between great artists becomes the cultural event of the decade.
