|
This inspiring Christmas classic from 1957 follows pioneers Mamie (Glynis Johns) and Robert Eunson (Cameron Mitchell) from Scotland to Mamie's uncle's homestead in Wisconsin, where they find the uncle dead and his cabin incinerated. With the help of neighbors, they rebuild the cabin, and through hardship, hard work, and joy, they raise a family united by love in the 19th-century Wisconsin Northwoods. This love will sustain the children after their parents are fatally stricken by disease and will give them the strength to turn terrible loss into a triumph of the human spirit.
