Still at his peak, Benny Hill continued to offer the cherubic naughtiness that had made him a staple of British and later American television comedy. Here are all nine episodes of The Benny Hill Show produced between 1982 and 1985, with new skits featuring Fred Scuttle and Chow Mein, as well as fan-favorite moments from "The Little Dimpton Street Party" and "The Hot Shoe Show." The impish Hill's humor was broad in every sense, incorporating sight gags and camera tricks, bawdy pub jokes, physical comedy, patter songs, double entendres, and, famously, scantily clad females. His BBC television show, begun in the 1950s, moved to commercial rival ITV in 1969 and was thereafter produced as a series of occasional specials. The U.S. version, first seen in 1979, was cobbled together from various episodes, and had many of the naughtier bits removed. These DVD sets collect all the episodes of The Benny Hill Show as they were originally aired in Britain.
