Description

|
He was perhaps the finest commander in the Continental Army, but his name will forever be synonymous with traitor. This 2003 film stars Aidan Quinn as the compromised general who rose from humble origins to become the conquering hero of Saratoga and other battles. But enmeshed in the divisive politics of revolutionary Philadelphia and betrayed by an ungrateful Continental Congress, Arnold finds his allegiance torn between an enchanting and manipulative English woman, Peggy Shippen (Jane Brennan), and his paternally devoted commander, George Washington (Kelsey Grammer). The DVD also includes Benedict Arnold: Triumph and Treason, a documentary presentation that originally aired on A&E's Biography series.
