This 1933 sequel to the iconic King Kong continues the story of Carl Denham (Robert Armstrong) one month after his "Eighth Wonder of the World" has run amok through Manhattan. Hounded by lawsuits for the damage caused by Kong, Denham flees New York for Skull Island, this time in search of a hidden treasure. After a mutiny, he and a few companions, including a new damsel in distress (Helen Mack), are left behind, where they befriend a smaller relative of the mighty Kong. Not as dark as the original, the sequel boasts a wealth of new marauding creatures and special effects from stop-action animator Willis O'Brien.
