Widely acknowledged as the best of Elvis's 31 films, this 1957 effort features the King as Vince Everett, a happy-go-lucky laborer who is convicted of manslaughter after unintentionally killing another man in a bar fight. He learns to play the guitar in prison and pursues a musical career upon his release, eventually becoming rich and famous. The film is greatly enhanced by six songs by Jerry Lieber and Mike Stoller, including "Treat Me Nice," "I Wanna Be Free," and the celebrated title cut. This digitally remastered Deluxe Edition contains commentary by Elvis biographer Steve Pond, a featurette on choreographing the "Jailhouse Rock" scene, and a 28-page booklet of behind-the-scenes photos.
