|
This 1960 adaptation of Jonathan Swift's 1726 classic stars Kerwin Mathews as the swashbuckling adventurer who sets sail for fame and fortune in the East Indies but winds up instead in Lilliput and Brobdingnag, battling diminutive people and giants. The film is especially distinguished by an evocative score by Bernard Herrmann and stop-action visual effects by the legendary Ray Harryhausen that were so special the studio copyrighted the process as Superdynamation. The DVD has also been digitally remastered and includes a featurette on Harryhausen's career.
