For a span of 25 years, the Tommy Tucker dance band played concert halls, theaters, hotels, and military shows all across the U.S. They were regulars on the popular 1930s radio programs Fibber McGee & Molly and The George Jessel Show, and they even headlined their own program, known as "Tommy Tucker Time." The Astor in New York was one of their frequent venues, and they broadcast this "One Night Stand" Armed Forces Radio Show from its Starlight Room in 1944. With trio and solo vocals as well as instrumentals, the tunes include "San Fernando Valley," "I Couldn't Sleep a Wink Last Night," "How Many Hearts Have You Broken?" "Twilight Time," "St. Louis Blues," "Everyday of My Life," and more.
