Description
In this 1969 LP, Liberace latched onto the flower power tribe, albeit as its sequin-bedecked cousin. He draws tunes from the Beatles ("Here, There, and Everywhere," "Something"), Neil Diamond ("Sweet Caroline"), Bacharach/David ("Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head"), and Stephen Stills ("Suite: Judy Blue Eyes"). "Vault[ed] Liberace into the post-Woodstock consciousness via a series of well-chosen covers that play to his prodigious gifts as a performer, emphasizing melody and emotion…. There's even a wry medley, dubbed 'Parks and Recreation,' that shoehorns 'Cherry Hill Park,' 'MacArthur Park,' and 'Echo Park'."—All Music Guide
