Description
Szymanowski's Violin Concerto No. 1 is the work with which Scottish violinist Nicola Benedetti won the 2004 BBC Young Musician of the Year prize. A mix of the challenging and the popular, her debut CD also includes Massenet's Meditation, Saint-Saëns's Havanaise, Chausson's Poème, and Brahms' Contemplations as well as John Tavener's Fragment for the Virgin (a world premiere recording and specially written for Benedetti).
