"In Search of Titina," dedicated to Charlie Chaplin, "Felipe," by one of Brazil's greatest composers (Moacir Santos) and "The Third Man," an evocation of Orson Welles, are three highlights of this simpatico pairing of a veteran trumpeter and youthful pianist, both Italian. "[They] bring a lightness and confident good humour to everything they do, while maintaining the profundity of their very serious musical strengths. Rava sings with his horn through Bruno Martino's lovely 'Estate' and the pair pays tribute to film noir and Orson Welles with the title track (their own composition—no zithers here)…. Bollani loves to drop a reference from … the great song tradition and is constantly searching for that new harmonic effect, while Rava's trumpet always has for me the warm, clear tone of sun on golden stone. Together they make music that is both adventurous and accessible."—Birmingham Post
