|
Writer-director Michael Mann's high-tech cops-and-robbers epic from 1995 pits master thief Neil McCauley (Robert De Niro) against seasoned LA detective Vincent Hanna (Al Pacino), two men whose personal and professional lives are remarkably similar. After McCauley's latest botched robbery draws the attention of Hanna, McCauley and his talented accomplices (Val Kilmer and Tom Sizemore) plan one last big "retirement" heist, culminating in a daylight siege that turns downtown L.A. into a war zone of automatic weapons fire.
