In this 1948 installment of the Durango Kid film series, gun-runner Ace Brockway (Charles Wilson) has appointed himself mayor of the frontier town of Pecos Flats and is using his authority to secretly supply the local Indian tribe with armaments to attack his business rival's wagon caravans. With justice and fair play on the run, the Durango Kid (Charles Starrett) rides to the rescue. Filmed in black and white, the Durango Kid films offered an unusual combination of brawling action, featuring the stunt work of Jock Mahoney, and brief musical interludes, showcasing the Kid's singing sidekick Smiley Burnette.
