Description
If you were born in the 60s, your decade opened with John F. Kennedy as the 35th President of the United States and continued with Alan Shepard making the first U.S. space flight. The Flintstones cartoon debuted on television, Chubby Checker started a new dance craze with the sensational twist, more than 400,000 music lovers trekked to the Woodstock festival, and the U.S. men's ice hockey team won gold in the winter Olympics at Squaw Valley, California. An episode of the hit television show Bonanza is paired here with the 1969 TV movie The Over-the-Hill Gang, a Western comedy about aging Texas Rangers hired to clean up a lawless town that starred Walter Brennan, Edgar Buchanan, Andy Devine, Jack Elam, Fred Astaire, Gypsy Rose Lee, and Pat O'Brien. The film was so popular with audiences that a sequel was made a year later. You'll also enjoy a 90-minute documentary, nostalgic commercials, period movie trailers, timelines, and more.
