|
When Duke Anderson (Sean Connery) gets out of prison, he soon sniffs out a fortune in jewels in his girlfriend's (Dyan Cannon) posh East Side New York apartment building. He assembles a gang of top-flight thieves—including safecracker Christopher Walken in his first screen role—and proceeds to plan and execute the heist, unaware that he is being taped the whole time. Part of Sony Pictures Martini Movies' series, this 1971 caper is ably directed by veteran Sidney Lumet and scored by Quincy Jones. The DVD comes with a recipe for a Shaken Martini plus two bonus shorts: "How to Play the Leading Man" and "How to Hold Your Liquor."
