Description
|

|
|
Released in 2006, this sweet-and-sour look at the super-rich stars Audrey Tautou as Irène, the companion of a wealthy older man whom she hopes to marry to secure a life of luxury. But when he falls asleep and spoils her plans for the evening, she has a drunken fling with the luxury hotel's bartender Jean (Gad Elmaleh), whom she mistakes for a rich guest—a mistake that threatens Irène's wedding plans and Jean's job. When Jean sinks to Irène's level, becoming the companion of a wealthy widow, you know it isn't long before Jean and Irène realize they were meant for each other. Tautou and Elmaleh beat out Cameron Diaz and Jude Law for Best Kiss honors at the NRJ Ciné Awards in Paris. In French with English subtitles.
