An artist known for his abstract striped serigraph prints, Gene Davis (1920–1985) provides the graphic designs for this 12-block puzzle for all ages 3 and up. Each six-sided block is laminated with sections from six different striped works of the 1960s and 70s—in essence, the 2-inch blocks are miniature cube-shaped works of abstract art all on their own, as well as puzzle pieces. You can arrange the blocks to recreate any of Davis's original prints (which is more challenging than it sounds, particularly if you don't look at the guide on the box), or create your own abstract combinations or three-dimensional structures.
