After splitting with their abrasive former partner Ted Healy, Moe, Larry, and Curly made their first shorts as the Three Stooges in 1934; here are four of the year's best, including their first film, "Woman Haters," which is performed entirely in rhyme or song. "Men in Black" earned an Oscar nomination, while "Three Little Pigskins" costars a young Lucille Ball. The seminal "Punch Drunks" introduced the long-running gag where Curly goes nuts at the mention of some innocuous phrase, song, or smell ("Pop Goes the Weasel" in this instance). Also here are "A Plumbing We Will Go" (1940), in which the Stooges destroy a mansion in 20 minutes, and "Micro-Phonies (1945), which has Curly impersonating opera diva Seņorita Cucaracha.
