Description
|

|
|
Emilio Estevez directs his father, Martin Sheen, in this very different kind of road movie from 2010. Sheen plays Tom, an irascible American doctor who travels to France to collect the body of his estranged son (Estevez), who has died in a freak snowstorm in the Pyranees, shortly after embarking on the historical pilgrimage known as "The Way of St. James." To honor his son, Tom decides to complete the journey and falls in with a diverse crew of pilgrim hikers that includes Joost (Yorick van Wageningen), a jovial Dutchman who hopes to lose weight and regain his wife's affection; Sarah (Deborah Kara Unger), an angry Canadian fleeing an abusive marriage; and Jack (James Nesbitt), a garrulous Irish travel writer with writer's block.
