When Farmer Picket tells his wife she's made him enough overalls with her new sewing machine, Mrs. Picket gets an idea. The next thing Farmer Picket knows, his cows are wearing raincoats and boots, and won't come in out of the rain to get milked. By summer, Mrs. Picket makes sunbonnets for the chickens, who then won't go in and lay eggs, and by autumn, she makes flannel pajamas for the rooster, who then sleeps in.
