This is a marvelous performance, with a strong Czech flavor, which captures all the color and spirit of this small masterpiece. The Eighth Symphony is also very fine…. The G-Minor Slavonic Dance may be the best performance of all; again, Mehta realizes all of its vivacity and charm while keeping it under tight control.
