Reminiscent of the delightful animal doggerel of Ogden Nash, these clever odes to the yak and the gnu, the puffin and the platypus, and a dozen other strange and funny creatures were written as presents from crossword puzzle enthusiast and copywriter Dennis Webster to his animal-loving daughter Kim. Over the years she kept them close, and after she grew up and became an illustrator, Kim created hand-colored linocut prints and borders as settings for her father's poems, presented here in a book for all ages.
