This large, slipcased catalogue raisonné compiles the paintings of Colombian artist Fernando Botero during a prolific 15-year period in which he was becoming internationally known and his images of monumental figures were widely copied. It begins with a substantial monograph for the period, including 90 large reproductions and detail views, most filling the page or two pages, with five gatefold pages. It is also illustrated with numerous smaller figures in color and black and white, as well as personal photos of family, the art world, and Botero at work. Each year from 1975 through 1990 is then given its own catalog listing individual works as they were completed, with a thumbnail in black and white, as well as where they appeared in exhibitions and monographs.
