This boxed set contains Emmy-nominated BBC productions of four adventures from the children's fantasy series written in the 1950s by C.S. Lewis. Filmed from 1988–90, the set includes The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe; Prince Caspian; The Voyage of the Dawn Treader; and The Silver Chair. An additional disc contains outtakes; featurettes on costumes, sets, and special effects; a 2003 cast reunion with individual interviews; and a documentary in which J.R.R. Tolkien biographer Humphrey Carpenter describes how Lewis came to write the series.
