Description

Danish singer-songwriter Peter Vesth has spent some profitable time in hangouts like Nashville's Bluebird Café, and this set of songs shows the benefits of his encounters with American roots musicians. Collaborations here include duets with Suzy Boguss (on "Smoky Mountain Morning" and "'Round Midnight") as well as a song written with Bill Staines ("'Neath the Moon") and another written with one of his heroes, Tom Paxton ("Shenandoah Night"). "Somebody's Someone" recalls the classic, down-home songs of the Blue Ridge Mountains, whereas the title track evokes the special stillness of Denmark in winter.
