One of the most influential films of the 1970s, Dirty Harry (1971) redefined the police movie genre and provided Clint Eastwood with one of his most memorable and durable roles, one he would reprise four more times. In his first incarnation as Harry Callahan, Eastwood tracks the elusive Scorpio serial killer, flaunting constitutional rights and proper procedure to nail his perp. Director Don Siegel makes excellent use of the San Francisco locales and ratchets up the tension throughout. This Deluxe Edition contains two making-of featurettes, commentary from Eastwood biographer Richard Schickel, and interviews with Eastwood and others involved in the production.
