|
Easygoing truck driver Philo Beddoe (Clint Eastwood), his girlfriend (Sondra Locke), crazy mother (Ruth Gordon), dimwitted best friend (Geoffrey Lewis), and, of course, Clyde, the 165-pound orangutan, return for more bare-knuckle brawling and assorted monkey business in this 1980 sequel to Every Which Way But Loose. This time around, an intimidating mobster (Harry Guardino) makes an offer Philo can't refuse: to return to the ring to fight East Coast boxing champ Jack Wilson (William Smith). Among the top-notch country songs on the soundtrack is an Eastwood/Ray Charles duet on "Beers to You."
