Youngsters up to 6 can explore their world through the eyes of Curious George with this big book of shapes, animals, numbers, colors, parts of the body, emotions, transportation, opposites, seasons, activities, and other subjects, with drawings in the style of H.A. Rey that illustrate more than 400 labeled vocabulary words. From his first appearance in the 1939 book Cecily G. and the 9 Monkeys, Curious George has been a favorite with children for his adventurous if at times disastrous explorations of his world. Though initially credited to H.A. (Hans Augusto) Rey alone, all of the original Curious George books were full collaborations between Rey (who did much of the illustrating) and his wife Margret (who did much of the writing). After Hans died in 1977, Margret continued to write and edit Curious George stories, which are still illustrated in the classic Rey style.
