The four films in this superlative collection won a total of two dozen Academy Awards between them, including Best Picture for each of the four. Greer Garson won her only Oscar, in 1943, as the title character in the spirit-lifting, war-on-the-homefront drama Mrs. Miniver. Teresa Wright won for Best Supporting Actress. One year later the classic Bogart/Bergman espionage romance Casablanca won Best Picture, Best Screenplay, and Best Director (Michael Curtiz). Leslie Caron made a stunning film debut in the Gershwins' musical An American in Paris, which took home six statues in 1952. Caron also starred in Gigi, the Lerner and Lowe musical which took Best Picture honors (plus eight other Oscars) in 1959.
