The original The Jetsons debuted on Sept. 23, 1962, and lasted for only one season on ABC, but fared much better when it went into syndication. That success led to a brief revival in 1985 with all-new episodes. The new series, referred to as "Season Two," boasted more advanced animation, with richer color, and new content designed to make it seem more futuristic than the original TV show. The first 21 episodes of the 1985 edition of The Jetsons are collected here on three DVDs. Despite a future with flying space cars, instant transport tubes, various robots, and a host of bizarre gadgets, the Jetson family experienced the same challenges and bumpy relationships as its mid-1980s audience.
