|
Director Martin Scorsese's seventh Academy Award nomination finally netted him his first win for this 2007 Best Picture of the Year. William Monahan's Oscar-winning adaptation of the 2002 Hong Kong film Infernal Affairs spins an intricate cat-and-mouse game between two moles, one (Leonardo DiCaprio) who has infiltrated the operations of Boston mob boss Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson), the other (Matt Damon) who is spying on the police for Costello. This acclaimed crime drama won four Academy Awards in all.
