This ideal introduction to Mozart's instrumental genius includes a serenade ("A Little Night Music"), a popular piano concerto (No. 21, K. 467; "Elvira Madigan"), and a late symphony (No. 40). Géza Anda's performance of the concerto with the Camerata Academica dates from 1961 and is typical of the subtle playing that informed his traversal of all of Mozart's piano concertos. The other two recordings date from 1985 and 1995.
