This feature-length DVD explores the different beliefs and practices that form the core of the Buddhist philosophy through visits to seven of the most spectacular monuments built by Buddhists across the globe, beginning with the Mahabodhi Temple in India, where Buddhism was born. From there, we travel to Nepal's Boudhanath Stupa, for a deeper look into the concept of dharma, and to the Temple of the Tooth in Sri Lanka, to explore karma. At Wat Pho Temple in Thailand, we examine samsara, the endless cycle of birth and death, before travelling to Angkor Wat in Cambodia to learn more about the practice of meditation. The program concludes with a visit to the Giant Buddha of Hong Kong and LA's Hsi Lai Temple for a discussion of nirvana.
