The third Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers film was adapted from Jerome Kern's 1933 Broadway hit of the same name about the world of Parisian fashion. Astaire plays Huck Haines, an American bandleader stuck in Paris with no gig until his old pal John Kent (Randolph Scott) secures the patronage of his aunt, a legendary dressmaker. Kent falls for a Russian princess (Irene Dunne) working in the dress shop, while Haines pairs up with an American singer (Ginger Rogers) masquerading as a Polish countess. The soundtrack of this 1935 film received an Oscar nomination and contains such classics as "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes."
